Mad Giant – Jozi Carjacker Review

I visited the brewery on a hot Sunday afternoon to try the Jozi Carjacker and I was blown away. Heaps of citrus, pineapple and stone fruit burst out of the glass with a supporting touch of malt flavor to keep things civil. The mouthfeel is slightly crisper than the best examples of NEIPAs but is still quite full and juicy with beautifully smooth bitterness, and this makes the beer deceptively drinkable for a relatively high ABV. It’s a cracking IPA, a much needed dose of hops in a city in short supply, and a beer I hope to have a few times before it is all gone.
